    THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

    Employment Development Department's (EDD's) Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) and performs a wide variety of tasks requiring regular innovative problem-solving within broadly stated and non-specific guidelines, in support of the organization's enterprise information technology operations, including all associated hardware/software components and the confidential and sensitive data used at the EDD.

    • Coordinates and schedules the testing of environmental changes with the technical, production and developmental areas.
    • Leads the resolution of incident management reports of production jobs.
    • Documents audit findings and non-compliance with existing production standards.
    • Reviews and revises existing production standards and processes in collaboration with the ODPD Reprographic & Imaging Services Group technical staff.
    • Monitors the migration of programs from successful readiness testing to production.
    • Publishes technical bulletins that need to be quickly distributed before new standards can be released.
    In addition, the incumbent invests in personal development through continuous education to maintain position related knowledge in the information technology field with the emphasis in infrastructure services. The incumbent will also focus on promoting and advocating the foundational information system principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability throughout the EDD.

    This position is at EDD's central print and mail facility, the Office of Documents, Publications, and Distribution at 3704 Parkway Place, West Sacramento, CA

    This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

    Background Investigation Requirement
