    Description
    Job Description and Duties
    • Under the supervision of the Information Technology Manager II, Chief of Technology Integration Services Branch (TISB), the Information Technology Specialist III (ITS III), in the role of Enterprise Solutions Architect, collaborates with various sections within TISB to create and implement technology solutions crucial for the future success of both business and technology at CDPH. The ITS III acts as a top-level advisor, handling the most vital and intricate architecture, research, design, and development of the IT enterprise infrastructure. As the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect, the ITS III designs and deploys systems to meet organizational needs and proposes enhancements to boost information systems. The ITS III selects hardware and software supporting CDPH's infrastructure, including data center servers, blade systems, SAN Storage, and backup and recovery systems, alongside software visualization platform support, and aids in managing Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud environments. Additionally, the ITS III collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, offering expertise on IT infrastructure enhancements to align with organizational objectives.
    The ITS III will operate within the System Engineering realms.
    The job post indicates eligibility for telecommuting, but candidates must be California residents as mandated by Government Code 14200. Those residing out of California may be considered but need to establish primary residency in California before employment.
