    This role is located at the Sacramento DMV Headquarters.

    DMV's Information Systems Division (ISD) is looking for a motivated individual to serve as a Cloud Architect in the DXP Solutions Architect Unit. The IT Specialist III directs the development of cloud adoption plans, determines cloud application design, and creates systems for managing the cloud systems to meet the needs of DMV's DXP.

    The incumbent serves as an enterprise-level cloud architect lead, setting standards for cloud computing requirements, and guiding the translation of data between business users and technical developers. The role involves leading business analytics initiatives and decision-making processes, and participating in complex business and systems configuration, analysis, testing, and implementation of key DXP initiatives.

    This Limited Term position may become Permanent.

    The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by HR. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range displayed is for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

    Working Conditions

    Telework is available. Telework requires California residency.

    DMV operates 24/7. The incumbent may be required to carry a work cell phone and laptop. There may also be times when the incumbent is required to attend conferences or work evenings and weekends to maintain project schedules.

    This role may occasionally report to the designated office location in DMV headquarters. Travel expenses related to reporting to the office are the employee's responsibility and not eligible for reimbursement.
