    HDR is looking for a Construction Administration Services Project Manager to join our Water Business Group team in Raleigh, NC. This individual should have a technical background in water and wastewater treatment plant, pump station, and pipeline construction. They will be responsible for performing constructability reviews of project designs and leading projects during construction administration phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment plants, water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure projects. They must be skilled in construction administration phase services coordination and management as a consulting engineer, coordinating with contractors, sub-consultants, and utility owners, coordinating technical specifications and design drawings with the design and construction team, and performing office and field services during construction. They will also be expected to direct construction administration services staff and perform client management activities to support our South Atlantic (NC/SC/GA) Area-based Water/Wastewater team. On a day-to-day basis, they will also be expected to:

    •Plan, schedule and coordinate construction procurements, and supervise field construction activities involving general construction and/or trade subcontractor

    •Take responsibility for budget, schedule, quality and safety throughout such activities, utilizing company resources for guidance and support

    •Maintain accurate daily record of construction site activity and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, schedule and budget statu

    •Coordinate with other project team groups such as design, procurement and accounting

    •Work on small projects, or as support to more-senior staff on larger, more complex project

    •Perform other duties as needed

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Construction Science or closely related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including but not limited to estimating, bidding, preparing and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, etc
    • Experience with construction management software packages and Microsoft Office, Prolog, Primavera, etc
    • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Construction or design certifications
    • Ability to interpret construction schedules
    • Local candidates are preferred
