    Your expertise in risk management will directly impact the firm's ability to navigate the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency markets, protect our clients' assets, and maintain our reputation as a trusted and reliable partner in the industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and compliance of our operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with senior management to manage key risks, provide analysis, and highlight risk exposures and performance metrics.
    • Refine the firm's comprehensive risk management framework for digital asset trading, custody, and settlement activities.
    • Manage a team of risk professionals across the globe.
    • Conduct ongoing risk assessments to monitor market volatility, liquidity, counterparty exposure, and regulatory compliance.
    • Implement risk measurement methodologies, set risk appetite thresholds, and develop monitoring tools.
    • Coordinate cross functionally with business units to refine risk controls and support new product development.
    • Foster relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and auditors to ensure compliance.
    • Lead incident response and crisis management efforts.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to adapt strategies.
    • Analyze crypto assets and investment strategies for potential risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and evaluate investment opportunities.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required; master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
    • Experience: 10+ years in risk management, preferably in financial services, with exposure to cryptocurrency markets. Prior institutional brokerage firm experience is highly preferred.
    • Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets: Strong knowledge of digital asset trading, custody, and settlement processes, including associated risks and challenges.
    • Risk management expertise: Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. Experience with quantitative risk measurement is essential.
    • Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and requirements for digital asset trading platforms. Experience in managing relationships with regulators is highly preferred.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex risk scenarios, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking under pressure.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present risk-related information to senior management and external stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Compensation:

    This is a full-time position with an expected annual compensation of $190,000 - $385,000. The actual compensation for a successful candidate may vary based on factors such as skill set, relevant experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. This position also offers other forms of compensation and benefits consisting of overtime compensation ( when applicable ), relocation assistance ( if applicable ), performance-linked bonus, paid time off (including sick time) benefits, paid Company holidays, participation in the Company's equity and 401k retirement plan, competitive employee health, dental, and vision benefitseach subject to the terms and conditions of the governing plan documents and Company policies.
