CCR Reporting Head is key leadership role for senior management and Board reporting on Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR). CCR Reporting Head acts as a key SME for CCR data and reporting related initiatives, partnering with various groups across Risk, 1LoD, Markets and Technology


Responsibilities:

Report preparation and ownership for CCR content in CCAR submissions, Key BCBS reports and other critical management reports
  • DSFT, all CCR metrics and CCR limits and concentrations.
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory reporting and ensure that controls are in place for key regulatory CCR submissions, including CCAR 14Q Schedule L, BIS Top 50 reporting, and NFA swap dealer reports, along with key senior management reporting and adherence to Wholesale Credit Risk Reporting Standards, DART Operating Guidelines, BCBS 239 Compliance Framework, CCR Escalation Procedures, and CCR Measurement Standards. This includes review and challenge of process procedures and controls, engaging with Governance teams and Internal Audit, and involvement in periodic control testing.
  • Provide internal team review and challenge for key management reports, validate exposures through PFE spike analyzer tools and stress trade analysis, propose commentary for key Board reports, and partner closely with other WCR/WLCR reporting streams to ensure consistent messaging in exposure reporting.
  • Partner with Banking & International Risk (BIR) and Institutional Credit Management (ICM) stakeholders to create consistent reporting across CCR metrics, including risk factor sensitivities, stress testing, collateral/indirect risk, and PFE. Negotiate needs based on feasibility and work with stakeholders based on what can be done in short vs longterm development.

CCR Initiatives and product ownership

  • Act as an SME for ad hoc regulatory initiatives, including supporting stakeholders in generating quarterly regulator meeting materials and sourcing data, as needed, for nonstandard questions.
  • Represent Reporting in various data quality initiatives, including CCR DQ Council and Enterprise Risk/Chief Data Office initiatives such as mapping to BCBS 239 reports and assessing relevance of existing DQ issues.
  • Manage the CCR Reporting book of work and prioritize development efforts based on understanding stakeholder requirements as well as the development requirements needed to implement reporting solutions.
  • Act as Product Owner for CCR reports and tools, including managing the JIRA change management controls required for report development (may include the use of Agile project management workflow).
  • Manage the CCR Reporting team workflow, ensuring proper resourcing for key workstreams (i.e., CCAR, Board reporting, concentration reporting) by ensuring sufficient staffing.
  • Raise Technology enhancement requests to Technology, prioritizing and ranking as needed, raise IR/budget needs for Technology book of work, and negotiate Technology needs with other stakeholders including ICM and BIR.
  • Maintain a handson approach with data and reporting tools (i.e., Tableau), fielding questions from stakeholders, and providing technical knowhow to reporting team members to ensure final outputs are as expected by internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of experience in banking with 5+ years in a risk management or risk reporting role
  • Experience managing global teams and staff at various levels (analysts to SVP)
  • Expert in development and usage of portfolio credit risk MIS. Familiarity with CCR metrics
  • Potential exposure, Stressed Exposure and Factor Sensitives
  • Ability to interpret key changes to CCR metrics and their drivers and articulate in key management and Board reporting.
  • Ability to independently and effectively work across all levels of management and across functions to accomplish the mission.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience, especially in transitioning or challenged environments (including strong facilitation skills)
  • Excellent presentation skills, including perfected English (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical and detail orientation
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate several reports / projects at once

Education:


  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial experience
