    We are seeking a creative and driven professional to support internal and external communications activities for Global Sourcing.

    The Senior Specialist, Communications will be responsible for managing the Sourcing "topic" and all content on Wabtec's global internal communications platform.

    They will also help tell the function's "Story" to educate employees and other audience about Sourcing's business strategy and value proposition and inspire employee engagement.


    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    Support the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies for Global Sourcing, ensuring alignment with the overarching Wabtec communications and business strategy.

    Assist in the planning & execution of senior sourcing leadership staff meetings (agendas/PowerPoints/content/action item follow up) and support communication/materials for Budget, Strap, and other key meetings and initiatives help for the Global Sourcing team


    Write, edit, and produce content across multiple internal channels (e.g., global intranet, newsletters, All-Hands Meetings, etc.) to deliver relevant and timely communications that educate employees about Sourcing and inspire employee engagement.

    Partner with leaders across the Global Commodities teams to ensure message alignment and generate content ideas.


    Coordinate "Supplier Days" along with internal "Sourcing Connect" session in all regions; bringing together new and existing suppliers to reduce risk and costs.


    Generate and execute ideas for original articles, series, and stories; Create a combination of push and pull content that provides steady rhythm of diverse and globally relevant "destination reading" on the intranet.

    Assess, leverage, and continuously refine multiple formats for content delivery (e.g., infographics, digital signage, PPT, videos, and newsletters)

    Analyze and communicate relevant sourcing metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of internal communications channels and drive ongoing engagement.


    Collaborate with business group and regional leads, and the entire Global Communications Team to build effective relationships in a matrixed environment; Support diverse and dispersed stakeholders and initiatives.


    Conduct annual employee & Tools satisfaction surveys; also act as the liaison between the commodity team & tools team around improving user experience where necessary.

    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

    5+ years professional experience in either Sourcing/Supply Chain or Communications

    Flexibility and adaptability; Willing to serve in multiple communication capacities based on environmental changes and organizational need.

    Strong editorial skills (e.g., writing, editing, and proofreading)

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in technology, transportation, or industrial sector

    Experience in global, highly matrixed organizations

    Proven ability to break down siloes and collaborate across geographies and business groups to drive effective solutions.

    Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

    Ability to influence, counsel, and guide employees at all levels.

    Ability to shape and edit team members' and peers' content in a productive, positive, results-driven manner.


    Outstanding project management skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with high standards for quality.

    Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

    Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, influential communications.

    Experience managing content on an enterprise an internal communication platform.

    Ability to write across multiple channels and write messages that reflect an understanding of audiences' needs.

    Strong presentation skills
