    Key Responsibilities

    The Analytics & Engineering Lead is primarily responsible for leading a team of consultants on the data analytics & engineering practice. This role also aids in steering the strategic direction of the practice, and responsible for delivering high-quality analytics solutions for clients. The Analytics & Engineering Lead not only mentors their team, but will be responsible for leading and managing some of our most strategic client engagements. We are looking for an individual who expertly balances both strategic decision-making alongside high-quality technical execution.

    In this role, you will lead by example and set the standard for what quality client-facing solutions entails. You pierce through ambiguity and solve problems. An effective Analytics & Engineering Lead is a high capacity individual who can manager their own client billable responsibilities while making time to lead and mentor team members in their own workstreams.

    A background in analytics consulting and people management will put you ahead of the curve.
    • Partner with the Practice Lead Delivery to manage technologies, structures, environments, and resources to develop productive teams
    • Create best practices that will enable consultants on the data analytics and engineering team
    • Provide direct reports with necessary training and resources and ensure that direct reports' work meets the highest of quality standards. This includes:
    o Architecture reviews to provide high-level solution recommendations

    o Code reviews to provide professional feedback to each consultant

    o Contribute best practices to the knowledge share (wiki)

    o Develop reusable components, templates, and foster an environment of collaboration, teamwork and knowledge sharing.
    • Assist the Practice Lead with scoping and estimating work for prospective customers
    • Aid in the hiring, onboarding, and offboarding experience for the practice
    • Lead and deliver high-quality analytics solutions for some of our most strategic clients
    • Aid in the development of public analytics solutions and example use cases to help further our practice identity and brand
    • Represent our company and build great relationships with clients in various industries
    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Consultant or related role.
    • Experience with report design and delivery using Excel, Tableau, Pivot Table, and Power BI
    • Understand the problem at hand, study possible solutions, and find creative answers
    • Compose clear, concise and well formatted emails
    • Communicate issues and questions as soon as they become apparent
    • Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication and customer-facing skills
    • Team player and excellent collaborator
    • Willingness to dive into new technologies
    • Self-motivated, able to work independently, active participant in career growth
    • SQL database development; T-SQL; and complex query development
    • Business Intelligence Training with emphasis on SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes / Tabular / Tableau
    • Understanding of ETL principles such as meta-driven ETL and ELT, table driven business rules, and dimensional modelling
