- Grow DWT sales by developing and executing strategies to identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities with the Department of Defense(DOD). Provide ongoing feedback on success of strategy implementation. Participates in forecasting activities and maintains responsibilities for achieving established USG contract goals.
- Interface with DOD customers, understand their requirements, present solutions, and secure contracts. Translates unmet customer and market needs to identify potential new business opportunities.
- Negotiate and close deals. Utilize consultative selling skills at various customer levels. Review proposals and agreements to ensure accuracy and price competitiveness.
- Take a leadership role on capture strategy to ensure contract win.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement.
- Identify, prepare for, and attend trade events that promote DWT business.
- Represent the company with industry technical associations and committees.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
- A minimum of Bachelors level degree and 5 years of business development experience or high school level degree and 7 years of business development experience
- Armed Services and Defense industry experience is strongly preferred
- A demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic relationships to accomplish business objectives as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required including sufficient technical awareness to interface with customers, product development, manufacturing, marketing, and finance.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
