Job Description and Duties
This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by serving as the Associate Accounting Analyst.
The incumbent works under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I, Supervisor of the Federal Reporting Unit, this position performs highly complex fiscal activities and professional accounting work that includes daily draws, monthly reconciliations and quarterly, semiannual, and annual financial reporting for over ten grants.
Performs highly complex analysis and research to resolve various complex accounting issues using multiple automated accounting systems and procedures. This position may act as Lead in the unit.Additional Benefits of working at CDPH include:

The Financial Management Branch (FMB), within the CDPH Administration Division, is responsible for the preparation, analysis and management of the Department's budget, maintenance of accounting records and financial data, and acts as the liaison with the Department of Finance (DOF), Legislative Analyst's Office, Legislative Budget staff, and the federal government on budget and fiscal matters affecting the Department.
FMB is located in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex across from the beautiful State Capitol Park and World Peace Rose Garden.
