Description
irector of Finance/Business Manager (DOF) is responsible for all financial, accounting and business operations. DOF ensures that the organization utilizes effective accounting and compliance standards, processes and controls. DOF reports to the General & Artistic Director and is responsible for all accounting (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.), finance (budgeting and forecasting) and business functions as outlined below:
QUALIFICATIONS
· Requires a comprehensive knowledge of accounting processes and operations, internal controls, and financial
reporting.
· Must be able to prepare and interpret budgets and financial statements.
· Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
· Requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment and to manage multiple priorities.
· Must have ability to take initiative and offer ideas and solutions that are creative and cost effective.
EDUCATION & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Requires a four-year college degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field with Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) being preferred.
· Requires a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience functioning as a financial/ accounting professional with financial reporting and budget generation responsibility.
· Experience with nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
· Experience defining financial and business requirements for technology purposes is highly desirable.
