    SUMMARY

    The Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to thePresident and CEO, will have primary responsibility and oversight of theoperations of General Accounting, Patient Accounts, Information Systems, RiskManagement, Compliance, and Payroll.


    DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

    This executive level position's major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the completion of accurate and timely financial reports for Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) and Orthopaedic Foundation (OF).

    Interaction with, and the furnishing of reportsto,the Board of Directors (OIC) andTrustees (OF) of the respective organizations.
    Coordination and preparation of annualoperating and capital budgets.
    Submission of tax returns to Federal, State andlocal agencies.
    Coordination of annual audits and other reportsdue to government agencies.
    Coordination of various insurance renewals(healthcare and general liability, property, directors and officers liability,workers compensation program) and there selection
    Monitors OIC's and OF's compliance withcovenant ratios.
    Prepares quarterly and annual reports to bondholder and bond trustee.
    Coordination, preparation and reporting ofOIC's program reports.
    Coordinationand preparation of the 340B Factor Replacement Product (FRP) report.
    Submissionof annual proposal to Department of Health and Human Services for indirect costrate.
    Submissionof required quarterly DHHS reports for existing NIH and Federal Grants.

    PERFORMANCESTANDARDS AND SUCCESS INDICATORS
    Abilityto maintain confidentiality, professional discretion and ethical behavior.
    Excellentorganizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, problems solving, andtime management skills.
    Proficient in theoperation of a personal computer, systems and application software required (MSOffice, ADP, and Outlook).
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the executive and management team.
    Ability to meetdeadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    Ability to workeffectively with a diverse community.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:
    Regionally accreditedBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or PublicHealth preferred.
    5 plus previous yearsof experience in finance preferably in a not-for-profit healthcare setting.

    Complexity:


    Abilityto perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and ware whileproviding/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to successin this position.

    POSITION:
    Chief Financial Officer

    SUMMARY
