    Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Position at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a crucial role as a part of the Executive Team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO is a highly visible position responsible for providing financial leadership, strategic planning, and ensuring overall financial performance in compliance with legal requirements.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates knowledge of compliance requirements for healthcare programs.
    • Conducts all job aspects ethically to uphold the Hospital's commitment to ethical behavior.
    • Develops and implements strategy.
    • Collaborates with senior management on hospital objectives and improvements.
    • Oversees various financial departments and functions.
    • Provides leadership and administration of financial services.

    Other Responsibilities And Duties:

    • Attends board and group meetings as required.
    • Represents the Hospital as assigned.
    • Facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to financial management.
    • Promotes forecasting and planning innovations.
    • Ensures rational financial management through effective budgeting.
    • Assures effective leadership and management practices.
    • Reviews, reports, and adjusts practices to meet regulatory standards.
    • Participates in planning innovations for financial enhancements.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
    • Master's degree in health administration, MBA, or CPA preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting principles and personnel management.
    • Prior experience as a CFO in a hospital setting.
    • Expertise in healthcare delivery systems and regulatory standards.
