AP Specialist

Responsibilities:

AP Specialists responsibilities will be heavily focused on accounts payable - which is split up between the organizations programs and corporate accounts payable
AP Specialist will complete invoice verification, put batches together for posting, cut checks, code bills, and department invoicing. Volume currently is 20-25 bills/day.
AP Specialist will file documents that have been paid.
AP Specialist will reconcile in Microsoft Excel.
AP Specialist will also answer emails.
Vendor verification is part of the AP process (who got paid, check#, etc.)
AP Specialist will also complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested

Requirements:

1-2+ years of full cycle AP experience or a recent college grad
Previous Great Plains experience is a plus but NOT required if someone is a quick learner with technology and has previously used another ERP system
Basic Excel skills - able to create a spreadsheet with client name, case# and date the check was cut. Will be exporting data for reports, must know simple formulas. Should be comfortable doing data entry in Excel.
Previous nonprofit experience is a plus but NOT required
Degree is not required if a candidate has 1-2+ years professional work experience
