    Azimut Benetti Americas was established in 2004 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as the first international branch of the Italian based Azimut|Benetti Group.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Project Manager with strong technical expertise to lead and coordinate a wide range of marine projects and boat repairs.

    This role requires not only excellent project management skills but also a hands-on approach to tackle technical tasks and oversee project execution from start to finish, including the handling of tools and materials.



    General Accountabilities

    • Coordinates and oversees the activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives are met within the specified time frame and budget.
    • Evaluates project proposals and plans meticulously, considering various factors such as timeframes, financial constraints, staffing requirements, and resource allocation across different project phases.
    • Collaborates closely with project staff, including technicians, marinas, shipyards, vendors, subcontractors, and office personnel, to develop detailed work plans and assign tasks effectively.
    • Directly oversees subcontractors, providing guidance to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, while also actively engaging in technical tasks and utilizing tools as necessary.
    • Perform hands-on repairs on products and projects managed, demonstrating expertise and ensuring quality standards are met.
    • Confers with project subcontractors to provide technical advice and to resolve issues as they arise.
    • Reviews status reports prepared by subcontracted project team and makes necessary adjustments to schedules or plans.
    • Prepare comprehensive project reports for management and clients, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

    Requirements

    • Associate degree, or technical degree.
    • Proven experience in project management within the marine industry, with strong focus on hands-on technical tasks and repairs.
    • Advanced technical knowledge of marine systems e.g. electricity, hydraulics, propulsion, air conditioning, structural and mechanics.
    • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
    • Familiar with repair and refit on vessels.
    • Professional working proficiency of Spanish and Italian language.

    • Project management, budgeting, and cost allocation.
    • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication.

    Work Environment

    • Outdoor setting
    • Holds meetings in outside weather conditions such as boatyards and marinas.
    • Willingness to travel as required domestically and internationally.

    Position Type

    • Full Time.
    • Exempt.

    Location:
    Fort Lauderdale, FL.


    • Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (60-minute break for lunch).
    • Weekend availability.


    Compensation and Benefits

    Pay:
    Base salary $70,000-$80,000

    Paid time off: 6 sick days, 10 vacation days, 2 personal days and 7 holidays.

    Health insurance: 100% company-paid employee-only and 50% of dependents'


    • Short term and long-term disability insurance: 100% company-paid employee-only.

    Vision insurance:
    employee-paid vision insurance, employee-only.

    Dental insurance:
    employee-paid dental plan, employee-only.

    Retirement plan:
    Eligible after 2 years of employment. 100% match up to 3% of total compensation.
