    We are expanding and developing our program, and would love for you to join our team The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, College of Science and Health, Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program seeks applicants for a new full-time annual appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator.

    The Nuclear Medicine Technology program offers a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology and is accredited by the JRCNMT.

    The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse students enjoy a 100 percent NMTCB exam pass rate and have enjoyed exceptional academic and clinical experiences.

    This program has clinical sites in 5 different states and is the largest NMT Bachelor's program in the United States graduating 27-30 students per year.

    The program's strong relationships with both clinical and academic affiliations make it unique compared to other NMT programs as it brings the benefit of having the resources of a large program, yet the ability to provide personalized education with the small classroom sizes during the clinical internship year.


    The primary responsibility of this position is providing in-person and online education, educating the public and the UWL community about NMT, coordinating clinical internships sites, and monitoring student clinical internship progress for the Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of two years clinical experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field completed at time of application
    • Excellent interpersonal/written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers
    • Desire to attend conferences for professional development and networking
    • Be a lifelong learner to keep up with the ever-evolving NMT field

    • Bachelor's Degree with high interest in obtaining a Master's Degree
    • Previous teaching experience (clinical experience acceptable)
    • Interest to be involved in NMT organizations (SNMMI, ARRT, ASRT, JRCNMT, etc...)
    • Ability to provide leadership and demonstrate professional behavior
    • Be a self-directed learner and able to function independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical educators to achieve educational learning objectives

    The Nuclear Medicine Technology Program is part of the Department of Health Professions which includes Medical Dosimetry, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Radiation Therapy.

    The department is in the College of Science and Health.

    The Nuclear Medicine Technology Program is housed in the Health Science Center (HSC), recognized for its spacious, well-appointed teaching labs, and classrooms.
