- Effectively troubleshoot production lines and other equipment malfunctions.
- Productively maintain equipment and performance of the required day-to-day tasks while focusing on safe use and operation of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Perform welder, production line and equipment changeovers.
- Assist mechanics and Electricians with press inspection activities.
- Perform basic to intermediate PM activities on welders, screwdrivers, and packaging lines.
- Assist in loading coils on to automated lines.
- Daily press and equipment preventive maintenance and lubrication.
- Perform basic to intermediate electrical tasks and ensure electrical safety.
- Perform hot work permit tasks (including welding, cutting, and brazing)
- Retention of skills as assigned requirements and on-the-job training.
- Adhere to all safety practices, including fire safety, fall protection, fall restraint, lifting system safety, crane operations, and powered industrial lift truck operations.
- Machine safeguarding and lock-out/tag-out authorized.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution plus 1-2 years of experience.
- Maintenance experience or experience troubleshooting equipment.
- Proven ability to use various types of hand tools, multimeters, and measurement devices such as dial indicators, calipers and micrometers.
- Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Associate degree or Technical School Diploma for Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechanical fields with 6 to 12 months experience
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Team player, with willingness and ability to learn and progress in the trade.
