We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our thriving team in the mortgage industry.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee all facets of our accounting operations.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial statements, financial reporting, tax, audit, budgets, and accounts payable/receivable. If you are a motivated individual with a proven track record in leading an accounting team, we would love to hear from youOversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
Lead and manage the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
Prepare and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process.
Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Minimum of 5 years of related experience in managerial accounting and financial management required.
Experience in the mortgage industry is highly desirable.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP).
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
