A highly successful regional, independent accounting firm that provides assurance, advisory, tax, and technology services is looking for a Tax Manager to join & grow in their team in Hartford or Hamden, CT location.
They support a culture of unified collaboration between partners and staff. Clients include banks, credit unions, closely held business, nonprofits, real estate, financial services, manufacturing and distribution, individuals and more.You will assist clients with tax planning and business tax strategies. You will handle direct tax engagements and work with the audit group on other projects.

Salary:
$100,000 to $150,000 DOE
Location:
Hartford, CT (Hybrid/Remote)Responsibilities:
Monitoring audit/tax/office profitability and suggesting measures to improve procedures
Establishing project budget for audit/tax services
Providing tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, S-corporations and individuals for a variety of clients
Mentoring tax professionals working on client projects
Delivering high quality tax service and advice
Participating in and supplying to marketing our tax services externally to the firm
Handling billing and collections as well as budgets
Collaborating with team to help grow the tax practice
Developing relationships with prospective clients
Supervising and conducting in-house continuing education seminars
Participating in or supervising client examinations by Federal and State tax authorities through appellate levelRequirements:8+ years in public accounting with validated mastery of accounting and auditing principles and/or tax principles
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation or similar certification highly preferred)
CPA required
Leadership skills
Business development skills
Proficiency in tax software and MS Suite
