    Job DescriptionPosition Description:

    The Alamo is looking for an HR Generalist with a positive attitude and loves streamlining processes and problem solving.

    Full-time with benefits, including employer paid employee medical, short term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, and a generous retirement match.

    POSITION SCOPEThe human resource generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations (e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry).

    DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    \tPerforms HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance, ensuring accuracy.
    \tWorks with PEO to process payroll.
    \tAdminister HR programs and policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    \tOnboarding new employees with orientations monthly, including employment policies, dress code, PTO, and benefits.
    \tMaintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
    \tDevelop and streamline company policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately.
    \tAssists the HR Director with HR projects.
    \tAssists with benefits administration.
    \tPrepares and participates in staff meetings.
    \tRecommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
    \tCompiles reports from the HRIS database.
    \tPromote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
    \tAnswer employee questions concerning policies, benefits, etc.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    \tBachelors degree preferred, but not required.
    \t3-5 years experience in HR environment.
    \tBi-lingual a plus.
    \tExcellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
    \tProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    \tThe ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who excels at working in a dynamic and changing environment.
    \tAbility to manage and/or contribute to a high volume and wide range of projects at any given time.
    \tExcellent understanding of labor laws.
    \tExceptional attention to detail.
    \tExcellent skills at creating thoughtful and analytical presentations.
    \tDemonstrated ability to manage the everyday details of a project while focusing on the highest quality result.
    \tStrong strategic thinking skills.
    \tAbility to see the big picture and propose creative solutions.
    \tAbility to multi-task and to work well in a high-profile environment.
    \tStrong team-orientation and professional attitude.
