    Job Summary:


    Reporting to the Chair of the Political Science Department, the Term Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching 5 courses during the Academic Year.

    Duties include teaching existing or new upper level lecture courses in Political Science.

    $82,000 annually


    Job Description:


    The Department of Political Science at Barnard College seeks a full-time Term Assistant Professor to teach 5 undergraduate courses during the 2024/2025 academic year.

    The Term Assistant Professor will teach 5 lecture courses for Political Science majors. The Term Assistant Professor may be asked to take on advising duties for Political Science majors. This is a one-year position.


    Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

    Required Qualifications:


    Applicants must have completed the PhD by the position start date and have demonstrated excellence in teaching at or beyond the level of teaching assistant.

    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
