- Establish trust among customers to establish a strong network of clientele and prospects.
- Managing all three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
- Provide training and support to sales staff and assist in closing deals.
- Facilitate regular sales training for continued team growth.
- Hire, motivate and monitor the performance of the team
- Coach sales team to maximize guest satisfaction
- Lead all sales activities and maintain an experienced level of product knowledge
- Ensure high Customer Satisfaction scores and analyze these metrics to isolate areas for improvement
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and standard methodology processes.
- Drive business through a high-level of involvement in day-to-day operations.
- Lead the negotiation process ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing.
- Partner with General Manager plan and run vehicle inventory.
- Assist in running controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments.
- Analyze business metrics to resolve shortfalls and implement action plans to elevate performance.
- 5 years Automotive dealership management experience.
- Shown success in auto retail sales.
- Confirmed leadership ability to mentor and train others.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient at operating personal computers including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel, and Word.
- CDK Dealer Services Experience a plus.
- Elead or another CRM Application is a must.
- Passionate about training sales team members and operating within a reciprocal environment.
- Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
- Ability to boost morale during the sales workday and improve profitability.
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Experience and desire to work with technology.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- The General Sales Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Compensation of $84,000 per year. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value, or the number of closed sales achieved from $0.00 to $10,000 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 to $2,000(if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
