    **THE POSITION:**

    Chastang Ford is currently seeking a Ford Service Manager reporting directly to the General Manager, to strategically oversee, develop and grow our business. The four main areas of focus are Retail Mechanical Service, Commercial Mechanical Service, Quicklane and Mobile Service.

    Candidate must be: High energy, knowledgeable, and passionate; mechanically inclined with willingness to learn; lead by example and have compassion for employees and customers.

    Establishes programs for improved staff product knowledge, skills, attitude, appearance and job effectiveness

    Ensures Service Advisors are prepared and clearly communicates daily with customers, technicians and back parts counter.

    Ensures staff maintain a high quality of respect for other employees, customers and quality of work.

    Monitors Service Consultants to ensure proper procedures are being followed

    Maintain working relationship and visit with key commercial customer on a weekly basis.

    Monitors Shop Foreman/Dispatcher for work mix allocation

    Reviews service schedule daily for problem identification

    Reviews Service Technicians daily performance

    Ensures we are applying proper warranty policies and procedures throughout the Service department.

    Recruits, hires and trains administrative and technical staff

    Recommends staff for Manufacturer courses for advancement

    Determines hours sold forecast objectives for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual review.

    Analyze department performance monthly and year-to-date versus prior year and forecast

    Maximizes efficiencies to obtain high gross margins through effective departmental cost controls

    Monitors selling procedures to reduce under/over selling

    Attends regular department head and management meetings

    Knows, understands and applies all municipal and federal legislation as it pertains to the dealership

    Execute other duties and initiatives as necessary

    **QUALIFICATIONS**

    Must have 5 year of Service Manager experience

    10 years of total vehicle mechanical experience

    Working knowledge of Ford Motor Company Service & Parts

    Experience with Commercial Trucks including but not limited to Class 3-7

    Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including office

    Knowledge of CDK DMS
