    United States

    Overview:

    Our Baltimore City office is seeking a Data Scientist interested in working with our Transit team.

    Responsibilities:

    Capture data from various departments, clean data, and report the dataData sources with transit standards (e.g. on-time performance, bus availability, cut service/delivery performance)

    Present the data

    Partner with different groups; identify opportunities to improve data collection/presentation; bring data reporting to current standards/technological capabilities

    Qualifications:

    Strong communication skills: coordinate with various departments, probe for information, developing relationships/rapport with peer departments

    Data analysis tools: advanced excel, PowerBI (3-4 hours each day) [this is a very important skillset], SQL query preferable, but not required; coding knowledge (R, Python) preferable, but not required

    Time management

    Task management/organization

    Demonstrated interest in transit engineering
