- Work closely with sales, estimating, purchasing and construction teams to ensure timely and accuracy of billing, purchase orders and take-off procedures.
- Manage construction down payment, billing, and collection processes.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers.
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments, payment applications and vendor payments.
- Reconcile any irregularities in receipts.
- Manage all vendor invoices tied to sales and construction jobs for parts/equipment billing, payment, and collections.
- Communicate with billing account managers and sales account managers as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
- Analyze accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy.
- Investigate and ensure that parts costs are expensed to the correct job.
- Monitor tax liabilities and ensure timely payment.
- Experience in billing and accounting.
- Understanding of construction accounting procedures including AIA and WIP.
- At least 21 years of age.
- College degree preferred.

The Lincoln corporate office of Midwest Petroleum Equipment is looking for a Construction Accounting Manager. Applicants must be self-starters that can operate independently with minimal supervision. The perfect candidate is the kind of person who naturally pays close attention to the details and double-checks their work. We also need to find someone with a good sense of humor who wants to grow with a company that takes care of its employees.
