    Description

    Responsibilities:


    Assist AP / AR utilizing ComputerEase software to process vendor invoices and process AIA billingAssist controller in reconciling all month end reports to the general ledger.

    Assist in the formulation of month end Work In Process Reporting, working with Project ManagersAlso assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.

    Design and build Microsoft Excel based pivot tables.
    Prepare monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns for various local and state entities.
    Work with controller and project managers to obtain and renew the appropriate state and local contractor and business licenses.
    Post various journal entries including but not limited to job cost accruals and insurance.
    Work with controller on various aspects of month end close and the preparation of financial statements for multiple entities.


    Miscellaneous:
    Monthly account reconciliations as assignedOther duties and special projects as necessaryBack-up Accounts Payable as necessary


    Qualifications:
    Construction accounting experience3+ years of receivable experience preferredUnderstanding of AIA billing formatUnderstanding of Lien Waiver processesComputerEase experience a plusProficient in Microsoft ExcelCustomer service oriented and excellent communication skillsAccuracy, organization and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced environmentExperience including other accounting areas desirable
