    SUMMARY

    United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is a unified command, tasked with the responsibility of preparing for and conducting special operations.

    To enable USSOCOM to carry out its mission, the command is empowered with certain, unique Title 10 authorities and responsibilities.

    Among these is the responsibility and authority to develop and acquire Special Operations (SO)-peculiar (SO-p) equipment, material, supplies, and services.

    Special Operations Forces (SOF) Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) is the acquisition arm of USSOCOM.

    Under SOF AT&L, functionally organized program executive offices (PEO) develop and deliver SO-p capabilities to the user through specific program management offices (PMO).

    Performs analytical work in support of testing, evaluation, and certification of IT/NSS related to military intelligence and ISR. T&E areas include developmental, operational, standards conformance, enterprise, and interoperability.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Incorporates DoD and Intelligence Community interoperability directives and instructions in all T&E processes. Intelligence T&E support areas include developmental, operational, standards conformance, enterprise, and interoperability.

    A T&E analyst follows and applies common T&E processes that include identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings.

    Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates IT system operations. Reviews and analyzes blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications. Must be able to review, analyze, and interpret customer information. Solicits intelligence system requirements and associated operational environments to produce an evaluation approach that supports T&E objectives. Shares and briefs T&E project milestones to all levels of stakeholders. Conducts and may oversee testing of processes and products. Responsible for the design and implementation of test procedures to determine if standards and criteria are met. Recommends adjustments to the T&E process or detailed procedures if appropriate.

    Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.

    Relies on manual methods and automated test tools to execute the cybersecurity assessment and collect data. Inspects, tests, and measures data that is produced or consumed. Must be able to document, notify, brief, and discuss results. Records all initial findings and documents final test results in a designated formal cybersecurity report. Accounts for anomalies and errors found in testing, notifies customers and management, and may help analyze and/or correct problems.

    Requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with at least 4 years of experience; or 6 years of experience.

    One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Master's degree.

    Must be familiar with a variety of intelligence/ISR concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or manager. Must be adept at problem-solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations.

    WORKING CONDITIONS
    Environmental Conditions

    Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
