The city of Bretten is a growing medium-sized center with approximately [number] inhabitants in the Kraichgau region. With its main city and nine districts, it is a lively city with a modern city administration.


The main department, Central Control, is currently seeking an IT Administrator (m/f/d) with a focus on client/server to join their team as soon as possible.

The IT department is responsible for managing the hardware and software of the city's server and network infrastructure.

Spread across more than 25 locations, they manage around 45 servers, 350 PCs/laptops, approximately 120 printers, and 150 smartphones/tablets in the Active Directory or Mobile Device Management System (MDM).

The employees are primarily responsible for the administration of the internal IT infrastructure, installation of hardware and software, and providing support for standard applications such as Microsoft Windows and Office, as well as various specialized programs.

We work closely with the Komm.
ONE municipal data center for state-wide specialized programs and securing the Municipal Administration Network (KVN).

As an IT Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, backups, updates/patch management, and training
  • Handling inquiries and troubleshooting in 1st level support
  • Integration of devices into the network
  • Installation, maintenance, and management of workstations and applications (hardware and software)
  • Management of printing solutions
  • Management of internet
