We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional at our North American headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a Compensation and Benefits Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the management & administration of all employee benefits programs such as pension and 401(k) plans; medical & dental plans; term life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; accidental death policies, wellness plans and other related benefit plans.
They will be responsible for managing complex benefit policies and feel comfortable in supporting a remote and in-person work force across North America.
Job Description:
Benchmarks existing programs against industry and market data to ensure programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective.
Evaluates existing company benefit programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments and recommends changes to company employee benefits and compensation programs to ensure competitiveness.
Develops, administers, and implements approved employee benefit programs, procedures, and policies.Develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues.
Develops cost control procedures and monitors to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee.
Oversees the administration of North American compensation programs including annual merit and bonus plans.
Assist in the development and administration of incentive programs to align with company objectives.
Provides guidance and assistance in recommending, developing, and administering compensation benefits within collective bargaining agreements.
Works closely with third parties including vendors, administrators, actuaries, etc. in the administration of plans.
Ensures legislative and regulatory compliance of the design and administration of all plans.
Assistance with miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or related field. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) a plus.
In depth knowledge of state and federal laws & regulations.
Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player able to effectively work across all levels of the organization.
