Recreation Assistant - Fort Hamilton, United States - US Army Installation Management Command
Description
Duties:
- Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant.
- Instructing groups and individuals in various outdoor activities like rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course using effective teaching methods.
- Responsible for group management ensuring participant safety is top priority.
- Must be familiar with all programs and local area to provide customer information.
- Reports any issues promptly to maintain high-quality service.
Requirements:
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
- Meet qualification/background requirements.
- Probationary period may be needed.
- Complete employment verification checks.
- Must hold or obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 90 days.
- If involved in water rafting, complete Raft Guide Training within three weeks.
- Flexible shifts including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in various Outdoor Recreation activities.
- Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management or related field.
- Completion of an internship or fieldwork program is a plus.
Education:
This position does not require a specific education qualification.
