Description

Duties:
  • Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant.
  • Instructing groups and individuals in various outdoor activities like rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course using effective teaching methods.
  • Responsible for group management ensuring participant safety is top priority.
  • Must be familiar with all programs and local area to provide customer information.
  • Reports any issues promptly to maintain high-quality service.

Requirements:
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
  • Meet qualification/background requirements.
  • Probationary period may be needed.
  • Complete employment verification checks.
  • Must hold or obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 90 days.
  • If involved in water rafting, complete Raft Guide Training within three weeks.
  • Flexible shifts including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in various Outdoor Recreation activities.
  • Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management or related field.
  • Completion of an internship or fieldwork program is a plus.

Education:
This position does not require a specific education qualification.
