Description
Duties:
- Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants.
- Creates a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access. Provides supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants.
- Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order. Troubleshoots CYS hardware, printers, scanners, servers and software.
- Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. Promotes and role models safety, fitness, health and nutrition practices.
- Trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs. Ensures assigned area achieves and maintains standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent.

- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all preemployment checks in accordance with AR 2153, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
- A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
- Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
- Failure to achieve desired training with demonstrated competence may result in separation.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.
- Position requires working with computers, peripherals, software and common hand and electrical tools.
- May be required to work irregular hours and weekends.
Qualifications:
- 1. Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
- 2. Be 18 years of age at time of employment.
- 3. Possess and maintain ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
- 4. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Possess a professional certificate or higher related to computer science/information

PCS Costs
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
- This is a paybanded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
_If authorized, only regular (fulltime, parttime, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._ When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of nonovertime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
