    City Cruises is in search of Boat Captains (Part Time) for our Marine operation in Baltimore, MD.

    About the Opportunity:



    The successful Captains welcome all guests and ensure their needs are met with a high level of safety, quality, service, and satisfaction, while also focusing on profitability.



    About You:



    The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic, and embrace City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.



    Key Responsibilities:



    Cruise Execution
    • Lead cruises while following outlined procedures for pre-cruise preparation, crew supervision, vessel piloting, safety standards, and guest satisfaction
    • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest requests and enhance overall guest experience
    • Conduct pre-cruise meetings with the crew to ensure everyone is informed about the cruise details
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in emergency drills
    • Maintain ship systems and boarding facilities to the highest standards
    • Adhere to all Coast Guard rules and regulations
    • Implement Emergency Response Plan as needed
    • Manage additional projects as assigned

    Operations Team Management

    • Recruit and train crew as needed
    • Develop positive relationships within the team and across departments

    Guest Service

    • Resolve guest issues in collaboration with Restaurant Manager
    • Oversee safety programs in line with regulations
    Administration
    • Maintain shift records, incident reports, and payroll documentation
    • Assist in various administrative tasks assigned by management
    • Attend scheduled meetings and assist with accounting processes
    Other
    • Complete assigned tasks beyond regular duties

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Must hold a 100-ton license with a good record
    • Minimum five (5) years of marine experience, including two (2) years as a captain
    • Thorough knowledge of ship systems and maintenance
    • Proficient in Coast Guard rules and procedures
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to handle various guest situations with diplomacy
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
