    We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our public works construction projects focused on road work in the LA and LA County area.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee daily operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Manage in-house construction crews and coordinate with subcontractors for specialized trades such as traffic signals, street lighting, striping, landscaping, and irrigation.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact with city officials and the public, maintaining open and effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
    • Read, understand, and interpret civil drawings to accurately plan and execute construction projects.
    • Complete daily reporting requirements, monitor project progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and quality control measures, including the management and enforcement of safety protocols on-site.
    • Cultivate a culture of safety and quality, conducting regular site inspections and audits.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, Foreman, or Engineer, preferably within road construction
    • Strong leadership skills and experience managing both in-house crews and subcontractors.
    • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with city officials, subcontractors, and the public.
    • A commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
    • Preferably have experience with Procore.
    • Preferred:
      • Certified in First Aid and CPR
      • Possess OSHA 30 certification
    • Must be
      • Familiar with Traffic control regulations (LADOT, MUTCD)
      • Have a valid driver's license
