Job Description
POSITION SNAPSHOT:
Our client is in need of an experienced Director of Operations to join their team.
As a contract manufacturer/service bureau, they are focused on Additive Manufacturing as well as other complimentary technologies to produce high-volume manufacturing of parts for their clients.
In this role, there will be direct management of up to 10 persons with overall responsibility to 50+. Strong leadership experience in a production setting is essential.The Director of Operations should be very hands on, approachable, excellent communicator, a strong mentor and navigate with the client's sales team.
This role also has a considerable amount of customer facing responsibilities. ISO / ITAR.Candidates should have 10+ years of experience; highly preferred to be in the Additive Manufacturing of parts for customers. With at least 5 of those years in an ISO-certified environment. A Bachelors Degree relative to the position is required.
Also of note:
Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement principles and understanding of Lean tools, Toyota Production System and methodologies such as: A3 Development and Management, Process Flow Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/Visual Factory, TPM, SMED, Standard Work, Process Problem Solving, Built In Quality, Just In Time, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, Hoshin Kanri (SD, X Matrix), and Lean ROI.
