- Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses, to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate cost variances, investigating any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes and strategic planning.
- Assist in the development of operating budgets for overseas manufacturing facilities, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections, taking into account market trends, production volumes, and other relevant factors.
- Work closely with inventory management teams to track inventory levels, analyze inventory costs, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Implement inventory valuation methods and procedures in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Calculate and maintain accurate product costs for manufactured furniture items, incorporating all relevant cost components and overhead allocations.
- Collaborate with product development teams to provide cost estimates for new product designs and modifications.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for overseas manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve cost accounting methodologies, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and operations departments, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and regions.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
