We manufacture our board products in our Colchester, UK based factory to meet the highest level of inspection standards for long life cycle, reliable operation.


Our products are used by many of the world's leading integrators within the Defence, Security, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Transportation, Medical and Industrial markets and are designed to be operated in a range of temperatures and environments from benign to extreme rugged.


The company operates facilities in Los Angeles, CA and Woburn, MA in the United States and in Colchester and Theale in the United Kingdom.

The Role
Are you an Accountant looking to take the next step in your career to a Financial Controller?


At Concurrent Technologies, we are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Accountant to join our growing and buzzing team with the opportunity to progress into a Financial Controller.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), not only will you have 1-2-1 tailored support and exposure to help facilitate your development, but you will also play a pivotal role in overseeing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting at a time of exciting growth


What will I be delivering?

Financial management: Monitor cash flow including working capital and optimizing cash resources; budgetary performance and variance analysis; financial forecasting; oversee day-to-day financial activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Financial reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, including presenting for management and external stakeholders and reconciling accounts as necessary.

Risk management and compliance: Support the finance team in identifying and assessing financial risks; ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws; prepare and file accurate financial statements and tax returns; coordinate and support internal and external audits.

Financial strategy:Work closely with the CFO and wider finance team to support business objectives; evaluate and advise on investments and financial opportunities.

  • The role will include working closely with the CFO and UKbased Finance team so will require some flexibility to work with the UK as needed.

What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

  • Strong knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of US tax and US accounting reporting.

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or similar field, or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • CPA or other relevant qualification is desirable.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools, and advanced Excel skills.

Behavioral competencies**- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance employees

  • A lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
