- Develops and oversees implementation of internal compliance policies within his/her assigned respective business line to reflect program policy and associated updates.
- Develops goals and objectives and prioritizes tasks in response to Privacy requests.
- Review and analyze privacy compliance requests to ensure privacy language and VA privacy policies are incorporated in all privacy documents to protect veteran personally identifiable information.
- Create, review, coordinate, and deliver Professional Development training to all VBA Privacy officers.
- Review and analyze privacy compliance documentation to ensure all applicable privacy laws and privacy language to ensure protection of veterans Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Assist in the development, review and maintenance of privacy policies, procedures, and guidance essential to the effective and efficient implementation of Privacy work and the Privacy program.
- Working knowledge of Privacy, related laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to include Privacy Act of 1974, E- Government Act, NIST
- The incumbent participates in meetings, working groups and lead special projects, in a wide range of program process initiatives concerning internal procedures for the Privacy Office. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. The grade progression for this position is GS-13.
