- Conduct crisis management, case management, safety planning, advocacy, shelter placement, and referrals.
- Provide leadership and support to the DART team of advocates.
- Collaborate with LAPD officers and Casa de la Familia management for daily program success.
- Establish yourself as a trusted leader within the first 6 months.
- Manage and implement policy changes and procedures.
- Develop relationships with other service providers and collaborate on program growth.
- Attend outreach events to support the community and represent Casa Community.
- Drive throughout the divisions as necessary to attend meetings with LAPD, mayors' offices, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Regularly meet with police departments to ensure effective coordination of services.
- Schedule and lead meetings with DART advocates to discuss ongoing cases and provide guidance.
- Attend regular meetings with senior staff to provide updates on program activities, discuss challenges, and strategize for continuous improvement.
- Possession of a Domestic Violence Counselor Certificate (Training can be provided if needed).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proficient in technology: Adobe Sign, Teams, Microsoft Office, and more.
- Knowledge of domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, and stalking.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to various divisions and meetings as required.
- Experience within the field of domestic violence advocacy or law enforcement is preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while maintaining a workload.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner.
- Strong and effective oral/written communication skills and public speaking.

Specializing in the treatment of post-traumatic, anxiety, and depressive disorders, we offer crisis intervention and long-term therapy. Casa Community, a division of Casa de la Familia, is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) as the Lead Victim Advocate and Program Manager.
Position Overview:
As the DART Lead Victim Advocate and Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing the team of advocates across 8 LAPD locations, providing immediate crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and follow-up services to survivors and their families. This role involves attending meetings, writing reports, supervising advocates, and actively participating in the duties of a DART Advocate as needed.
