Description
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of the DHS/DMH/IHP Program.

The Program Manager will develop and implement all policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high quality services to clients of this 100-bed facility.

The Program Manager supervises all program staff and participates in direct service interventions on both an individual and group basis, and interacts with clients as necessary.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, but are not limited to following:

  • Provide overall management and supervision of the program.
  • Refine program design and develop policies, procedures and systems necessary to maintain quality program services with an emphasis on the special needs of homeless individuals.
  • Supervise staff, monitor program implementation, service strategies, distribution of caseloads, service delivery strategies, distribution of caseloads and performance.
  • Ensure that program services are delivered in accordance with program design and Weingart Center expectations.
  • Coordinate services with outside agencies.
  • Prepare program performance reports.
  • Help develop manage program budget.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as well as overseeing staff record keeping. Prepare reports required by contracts.
  • Meet regularly with Program staff, manage case conference forums and intervene with clients when appropriate.
  • Evaluate staff performance and complete performance appraisals as scheduled.
  • Reports for work as scheduled

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Substantial experience in program management and development for projects serving low income and/or homeless clients.
  • Knowledge of social services and its ethics.
  • Knowledge of recovery models.
  • Experience supervising and staff, particularly case managers and caseworkers.
  • Casework/advocacy experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of the network of social services agencies, public and private resources and public benefits available to assist homeless men and women.
  • Ability to handle complex projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Sensitive to the needs of low income and homeless clients.
  • Computer literate.

EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Master's in Social Work (MSW) or its equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience supervising staff.
  • 23 years experience in the delivery of social services to homeless and/or low income individuals.

Pay:
$55, $65,000.00 per year
