- Evaluating and implementing project requirements as the I&C (Instrumentation & Control) resource to single and multidiscipline project teams for both internally executed projects and outsourced projects
- Providing remote and onsite I&C support with technical details, design, installation, configuration, programming, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and cyber security of SCADA and OT network equipment
- Providing I&C support with regulatory compliance standards related to NERC CIP requirements.
- Interpreting and following applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- In collaboration with local and/or remote resources, leads the administration and implementation of these processes and programs for specific sites.
- Troubleshoots system/equipment hardware and software.
- Schedules, performs, and tests system/equipment upgrades.
- Reviews and approves plans for changes and/or modifications.
- Performs other projectrelated support activities as assigned.
- Maintains program/system/equipment records and documents plans and procedures.
- Electronically archives records for historical purposes/evidence.
- Serves as the primary contact for providing historical information or details about future enhancements.
- Develops, implements, and improves tools to automate managing and reporting functions where possible.
- Works with Plant Staff, Plant Management, and others to facilitate a successful local program for the specialized program/system/equipment at specific sites.
- Collaborates with other sites to recognize common platforms and to promote consistency and continuous improvement within the Generation Organization.
- Must have a desire to work in the Generation Cyber Security and NERC CIP fields.
- Must have advanced level knowledge, understanding, and application of SCADA and OT networks.
- Must have the ability to analyze, interpret, and develop technical writings and drawings such as network oneline diagrams, elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams and other schematics.
- Experience with servers, computers, thin clients, and computerbased instruments is a plus.
- Experience with Ethernet, Modbus, OPC, or other communications protocols, including the ability to troubleshoot issues, is a plus.
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and Cisco switches is a plus.
- Experience with solar, battery, and/or wind farm network equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency using MS Access, Excel, Word, SQL, SharePoint, and Visual Basics is a plus.
- Candidate may be required to work days and/or nights as required for the assigned task.
- Travel is required, ~30% more or less.
- When visiting any electrical generating station, the use of a hard hat, eye and hearing protection, steel toed shoes with distinctive heel and nonslip soles plus any sitespecific criteria are required at all times.
- When visiting an electrical generating station, the candidate may be required to work in an environment that consists of exposure to hot surfaces, dust, grease, hazardous fumes and chemicals, loud noises, small and large operating machinery and equipment, indoors and outdoors in extreme heat and cold, rain, ice, snow, and all other forms of weather.

Technical Specialist job family:
Technical Specialist Principal (grade 9)
= bachelor's degree + 10 years of experience; OR, associate's degree + 12 years of experience. Professional registration or certificate related to engineering, projects or technology is preferred.
Technical Specialist Sr. (grade 8)
= bachelor's degree + eight (8) years of experience; OR, associate's degree + 10 years of experience
Responsible for:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assumes responsibility to configure, administer, implement, and maintain specialized programs/ systems/ equipment to support the Generation Organization. - Supports the development and maintenance of the required processes and programs.
Coordinates and/or provides, as needed, required and appropriate specialized training of employees with a thorough understanding of any training elements that are necessary.
Leads, facilitates, and coordinates work activities of others within the work group, team, department, corporate entity, or those external to the company as required to perform all routine work.
Assures safety of all activities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors degree in applicable technical field or Associates degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
Work Experience:
In addition to any experience required above, 8 years of direct experience and journey level knowledge of the specialized programs/ systems/ equipment is typically required for this particular role.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Physical demand level varies depending on specific job duties/requirements.

($94,225 - $143,852).
