- Bachelor's degree preferably in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of internal/employee communications experience in health care or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Experience in a communications team, especially internal communication, for a large organization preferred.
- Experience in writing for a variety of different audiences (employees and leadership), editorial work including the planning, development and distribution of communications materials in multiple formats also required.
- Experience with Constant Contact and SharePoint a plus.
- Human Resources writing and communications experience a plus.
- Bilingual, a plus (English and Spanish).

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, this position is responsible for developing and implementing internal communications that engage, align, and inspire employees with the AltaMed vision, business strategy, and culture, and drives employees' understanding and engagement on AltaMed priorities and key initiatives.
This position will work closely with leaders on communication strategies and activities to support key corporate initiatives.Additionally, the Manager, Internal Communications will recommend and plan communications strategies, programs, or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results.
This position will also support the implementation of the editorial content for the organization to position AltaMed as a leader in the community and in the health care industry.
