Job Description
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. Must have manufacturing experience with knowledge of receiving, purchase order adjustments and reconciliations to invoices. Will report directly to the VP of Finance. Responsibilities include:
Managing all Accounts Payable transactions, reconciling purchase orders to AP invoices; credit card reconciliations and month-end payable closing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accounts payable records
Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy
Assist in employee time-balancing when needed for assistance in payroll preparation
Track taxable purchased items for quarterly sales tax preparation
Correct receiving transactions if needed to ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist VP of Finance with other accounting data as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 5 year's experience in the accounts payable field for a manufacturing
environment
Proficiency in accounting software (Global Shop Solutions experience a plus)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations, is a plus by not required
Attention to detail and accuracy, and maintain confidentiality in the accounting
department
Ability to analyze financial data for accuracy
