- Manage trademark prosecution & litigation with a focus on client service
- Proactively manage dockets, monitor deadlines, and follow up with attorneys & clients
- Utilize technology tools to enhance legal & non-legal processes
- Prepare & file trademark applications, extensions, and other documents
- Coordinate travel arrangements and submit expense reports
- Record assignments and name changes in the USPTO and internationally
- Facilitate correspondence with foreign associates
- Draft legal documents and proofread for accuracy
- Maintain client & matter data in various legal databases
- Manage schedules, due dates, and client activities for legal staff
- Foster positive relationships with internal clients & colleagues
- Bachelors degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a Trademark or IP assistant in a US law firm required
- Excellent clerical skills, grammar, and punctuation
- Exceptional customer service skills across all channels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ALT-Legal or similar docketing platform
- Demonstrated experience preparing and filing TTAB filings, managing trademark prosecution dockets, and performing new matter intake requests and conflict checks
