Company DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Manager is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the departmental operational functions of the plant.

Directly supervises Plant Engineer, Production Shift Supervisors and Technical Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review and approve adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, departmental budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer service, and assists order entry efficiencyAssist in developing, establishing, and providing for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the production functionManage the production functions of the Plant, and oversee the production process of raw and finished goodsEnsure that the Plant standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all Production Department functionsReview performance against operating plans and standardsProvide reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.

Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growthResponsible for GMS Methods and Tools initiatives QualificationsB.S.

Engineering, Business and/or Operations ManagementExperience in glass manufacturing or related manufacturing industryExperience in directing and supervising employeesAbility to recruit, train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growthAdditional Information
