Piercetek started with Herb as the sole employee and has grown to over twenty employees with an office that responds 24/7.
Piercetek currently employs a full staff of electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers supported by an office staff that includes accounting, travel, dispatch, and operations solutions provider offering turnkey integration, start-up, training, and field services to ensure project success.
Job Summary:
The Account Manager / Business Developer is responsible for driving sales and maintaining/increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York and Myrland.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales goals at assigned customer accounts to meet or exceed profit targets.
- Conduct Gap analysis of accounts quarterly to expand product offerings and identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with field service engineers and leverage vendor relationships to support sales efforts.
- Sell and promote solutions groups, including Piercetek Service, robots, conveyor systems machinery, continuous improvement, and powder coating services.
- Make recommendations for marketing initiatives and special functions within the territory.
- Follow up on leads within assigned accounts and territory promptly, within 48 hours.
- Utilize Sandler selling process and attend routine training.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- 35 years of experience in outside sales
- Must have proven track record of exceeding sales quota.
- Experience working with distribution.
- Previous experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products.
- Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to endusers
- Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from senior management to technical support
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- Selfmotivated and customer driven.
Metrics:
- 10 or more customer calls (virtual and/or joint) per week,
- Achieve profit goal for account package.
- Record activity at accounts at least once/week.
- Record and update opportunities weekly.
- Promptly follow up assigned leads
- Communicate with inside sales team once per day.
Principal Responsibilities (specific to Piercetek LLC products/services):
- Achieve sales quotas for products and services in the designated territory.
- Hunt for new sales opportunities and manage sales pipeline effectively.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and market activity related to Piercetek's offerings.
- Provide customers with robot training as needed.
- Canvas, initiate, qualify sales leads.
- Represent company at tradeshows and other professional activities.
Pay:
$32,000.00 per year
