    Overview:


    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at our consumer products company based in Stamford, CT.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on consolidations, experience working with large ERP systems, and a CPA certification is a must-have.

    This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a dynamic company in the consumer products industry.


    Responsibilities:
    Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
    Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities within the organization.
    Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
    Lead the implementation and optimization of a large ERP system, including system upgrades and enhancements.
    Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, fostering professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
    Prepare and analyze financial reports and variance analyses, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
    Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or inquiries.

    Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising management on potential impacts to the business.

    Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
    Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
    Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
    Experience with consolidations, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
    Proficiency in using large ERP systems; experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
    Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of coaching and developing staff.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
    High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work.
