    Description

    Scratch is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead our expansion into the Las Vegas market, building out non-nightlife booking opportunities for our DJ & musician talent network within the largest casino/hotels properties and with the world-class brands creating experiences within the city. This new position will require a thorough experience with and understanding of the marketplace dynamics, applicable opportunities, and key stakeholders. The high level goals of the role will be to establish connections with decision-makers, secure strategic meetings, close these deals, while growing and maintaining Scratch's standing and presence in the market over time.

    More than anything, the ideal candidate will have the ability to break through any barriers to firmly establish a foothold in the LV business ecosystem. This candidate likely holds significant experience in the entertainment and/or event side of the hospitality space, possessing a strong self-starter drive and a preference to self-manage. They will work independently, intelligently, and efficiently as the only in-market team member in LV, while receiving full support from Scratch's NYC HQ, including the direct involvement of the CEO/co-founder. They will strategically pursue large-scale partnership opportunities, cultivate long-term relationships essential for over the horizon growth, while also being sure to capitalize on any immediate event opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    Develop, deploy and oversee a comprehensive business development and sales outreach strategy

    ● Identify and engage new opportunities through any mix of outreach, networking, BD/sales tactics

    ● Pitch, negotiate and close pipeline opportunities

    ● Work inside the company's CRM to drive and maintain all stages of pipeline development

    ● Meet and exceed meeting conversion, outreach metrics, margin goals and revenue objectives

    ● Create, review and edit collateral as needed·

    ● Stay up to date on latest industry trends to identify new targets and tweaks in strategic direction

    Qualifications

    ● Proven experience and passion to be a game changer

    ● Experience owning revenue/P&l's and executing a strategy to hit established metrics

    ● Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills - you like people and can connect

    ● The desire to win – you care about the success of the endeavor to which you're attaching your name

    ● An analytical eye – you can identify trends, ideate a course-correction, and evaluate its success or failure

    ● Passion for music and the DJ art form

    ● Excellent time management skills with the ability to identify and prioritize opportunities

    ● Team player that thrives in a self-starter / start-up environment
