- Provide support with screening M&A and investment opportunities for fit with Halozyme's criteria by analyzing industry trends, conducting market and competitive landscape analysis, valuation, and preliminary due diligence.
- Assist in execution of ongoing deals by conducting valuation analysis using DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable comps analysis, as well as evaluate ROI potential for deals by performing accretion/dilution analysis and creating M&A models.
- Build financial and market models and create presentations to support our internal decision-making process.
- Present recommendations on new opportunities to the VP of Corp Dev and Halozyme's management team.
- BA degree required with minimum 6 years' experience in investment banking, management consulting or in a corporate development role focused on the pharma or biotech sector with a deeply quantitative lens (a combination of education and experience may be considered)
- M&A experience with market assessments, financial modeling, and deal execution
- Exceptional financial modeling skills with experience in 3-statement financial modeling, DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable comps analysis and M&A modeling
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create executive and Board level PowerPoint presentations
