- Provide legal counsel and advice to the Executives, Regional and Divisional managers; and other employees of Company
- Prepare, review and negotiate construction and commercial agreements on behalf of business leaders as it relates to construction projects
- Lead and execute all stages in the contract life cycle through structuring, negotiating, drafting, closing, and any subsequent conflict resolution including, but not limited to mechanics liens, stop payment notices, and bond claims relating to licensing, bids, bid protests, contracts, Small Business Enterprise and other preference programs
- Develop and implement company policies in support of strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior management
- Ideal candidate will also be able to manage employment laws and regulations, liability and insurance matters, public monies, and mergers and acquisitions
- JD from an ABA approved law school and licensed in CA
- 5+ years of experience in California construction law
- Excellent drafting and negotiating skills
- Conceptual thinker with strong vision, judgment, and intellect with ability to work quickly and prioritize a wide variety of projects
