- Identifying and qualifying new growth areas; specifically in film, television, and advertising by leveraging contacts and expertise.
- Develop a deep knowledge of clients' goals to uncover and prioritize opportunities for new revenue within key development accounts.
- Design, implement, and drive a robust and creative sales business plan that meets/exceeds new business targets.
- Maintain key customer relationships, and continually represent the feedback of customer and marketplace back into the company.
- Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of all sales activities, forecast opportunities, and available pipeline.
- Manage the quoting and customer deal structure process by acting as the liaison between Sales, Production, and other participating stakeholders to optimize customers proposals and responses.
- Oversee the systems and processes required to support a marketing function that will showcase our team's expertise and help drive customer education of virtual production.
- Attending industry events and trade shows.
- BA/BS Degree required.
- 8+ years in the entertainment industry; in the agency space and/or production/post.
- Additional experience at a large agency/studio/production or VFX company preferred.
- Proven track record of structuring, negotiating and closing complex production deals and studio usage contracts.
- Ability to drive results in a fast paced, resource-conscious environment with a creative style and a collaborative attitude.
- Strong understanding of relationships with film/television/commercial production decision-makers and influencers at leading brand companies and their agencies, including decision-making structure and process.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture both internal and external relationships, and work effectively at all levels of the decision process.
- Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including well-developed persuasion and influence skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.

Orbital Studios' headquarters is a 36,000 square foot facility in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles with 2 virtual production stages and supporting areas. Orbital Studios supports productions off-site, with the ability to pop-up virtual production equipment wherever it's needed, and operate with top LA talent thanks to our on-site data room and unparalleled connectivity.
Job Description
We're seeking a talented, highly motivated, and experienced VP of Sales & Marketing to support new sales growth efforts for stage bookings, end-to-end virtual production services, and movie/television/commercial production. In this role, your focus will be finding new and creative ways to close opportunities for our stages and the production team, and identifying new revenue opportunities in the content creation space. You will work with our executive team to develop targeted sales growth roadmaps that align with our annual operating plan. In order to make this possible, you will need to have an in-depth knowledge of production timelines for both potential clients and the internal production process.
